The silk came with a light snake print
nothing loud… just something you notice as it moves.
I didn’t want to soften that power.
Only to deepen it.
So we worked with secang wood,
letting the dye move slowly through the silk…
watching as it settled into the print, warming it, grounding it…

A note on natural dyeing
Each top emerges from the dye differently, as nature intended. Slight variations in color, tone, and pattern are not imperfections...they are the signature of something made by hand, with love, from the earth.
